What is Zoomzer?

Zoomzer is the new way to find the perfect athletic race or event. Many of us athletes spend an inordinate amount of time stressing and researching how to select the best race. Stress no more - let Zoomzer help you pick the right event!

Zoomzer was dreamed up over ice cream at Marianne’s on Ocean Ave in Santa Cruz and named after a high-strung dog named Boomer. From there it went to the drawing boards in the founding partners' guest bedroom. A year later Zoomzer was born!

Chelsea brings a colorful background to Zoomzer having worked as a broadcast reporter for the CBS news network in San Francisco and Redding, California, and most recently, as a sales director in the ecommerce industry. The oldest of six siblings and the daughter of an Ironman finisher, Chelsea is a wanna-be accomplished swimmer and triathlete. A two time Ironman competitor and one of the world's slowest marathon runners, she is currently easing back into training following the October 2009 birth of her lovely daughter. Plans for 2010 include finishing, not racing, the Big Kahuna Half Ironman, Mt. Tam Metric Century, and a handful of short distance runs and tris. According to Jason, she hopes to complete her first ultra-marathon within the next couple of years, although Chelsea does not recall saying this.

Chelsea is currently studying for a MBA at San Jose State University and has a degree in American Government and English from Georgetown University. Go Hoyas!

Jason Schlunt Ironman
Jason is currently the Chief Operations Officer at Bellows Plumbing & Heating in Santa Cruz, California. He claims he can't install a water heater, but we have our suspicions. Jason has always been passionate about business and start-ups. His first company, Los Angeles-based Window Warriors, cleaned stars' windows - we have a check from Nicolas Cage to prove it! Jason is also an accomplished swimmer and triathlete - like super good and if he actually trained he'd probably be a pro! In 2006 Jason competed in his first Ironman and survived to train for another. He also managed to finish the 200-mile Terrible Two cycling event in 2008. In 2010 he has signed up for three double centuries hoping to become an official California Triple Crown finisher! As of July he's captured Solvang Double and the Santa Rosa Terrible Two. Only the Mt. Tam Double remains!

Jason is also obtaining his MBA at San Jose State University and has a B.S. in Economics and Management from Rice University. Hoot! Hoot!
